EDUCATIONAL NEEDS ASSESMENT

Needs Assessment Process

The educational needs for this congress were identified by the Scientific Committee of the International Association for Interdisciplinary Medicine (IAIM). The assessment was based on expert consultations, current international clinical guidelines, recent scientific publications, and common challenges encountered in the diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain in everyday clinical practice.

Identified Educational Gaps

Chronic pelvic pain remains a frequently underdiagnosed and undertreated condition because of its complex and multifactorial nature. Significant gaps exist in understanding pain mechanisms, differential diagnosis, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the implementation of evidence-based treatment strategies across different medical specialties.

Educational Needs of Participants

Participants require updated knowledge and practical skills to improve clinical practice. The congress addresses the need for:
better understanding of chronic pelvic pain mechanisms;
accurate multidisciplinary diagnostic approaches;
interpretation of imaging and functional assessment findings;
evidence-based conservative, interventional, and rehabilitation treatment options;
development of individualized patient management strategies.

Purpose of the Educational Activity

This educational activity is designed to improve participants’ clinical decision-making and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in the management of chronic pelvic pain. By integrating current evidence with practical clinical experience, the congress aims to enhance the quality of patient care and promote standardized, patient-centered management pathways.
